The Punjab government has officially opened registration for the distribution of 20,000 motorcycles on interest-free installment plans under the Chief Minister’s Youth Initiative. The government has requested that students register for the program as soon as possible because an online portal has been set up for this purpose.
Interest-Free Bike Scheme
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz introduced the education-friendly initiative, which was jointly launched by the government and the Bank of Punjab. Under the program, students who are selected by ballot will receive 19,000 gasoline-powered motorcycles and 1,000 electric bikes. Out of the 19,000 bikes with gasoline engines, 11,676 are owned by male students and 7,324 by female students. There are 1,000 electric bikes in total, with 300 reserved for female students and 700 for male students.
Which Students May Participate in the Motorbike Scheme?
Regular students at a degree college or university that has been officially recognized by HEC may sign up for the interest-free motorcycle program in Phase 1. The cities of Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, and Rawalpindi will be the first to introduce the program.
